When I started my Memento Mori Collection I was motivated with more than just painting skulls. It’s not like we need to be reminded of death now a days when it is so readily available around us. Disasters unfold as we sit and watch it on repeat on our little screens, sometimes purely by accident as we doom scroll the days away. No my collection of Memento Mori paintings are meant to convey a time after humans. It is a reminder as a collected species that life will continue, even if that life no longer has us humans in it.
