I have been with Etsy for 15 years and I have been wanting to say goodbye to it for quiet some time. I can’t say when exactly it became more a hindrance than a tool for my business, but this past year I had to wonder why I was jumping through all these extra hoops for Etsy AND they wanted an extra 12-15% on top of the 6.5% fee, which does NOT include the credit card processing fees. All the ranting aside, I decided that I’d rather pay a flat fee each month than nearly 20% of my sales each month. Plus I wouldn’t be penalized for not offering free shipping or for using their on-site ads and lets not get started on the run amok resellers.
SO I tore the bandaid off and stitched that wound closed with Shopify. The shop link at the top now takes you to the store. I’ll be adding things periodically, so if you want to stay up to date, sign up for the newsletter at the bottom of the shop.
