Being back in the physical realm of conventions selling my creations has been amazing and fun. You get to meet wonderful people that stop by the booth and see brilliant cosplays. But what I really missed was the interaction with other creators who set up shop next to you. Literately spending almost twelve hours for three days with your neighboring vendors, you start to build a relationships with them. It in itself is a small little community within the larger whole, experiencing most of the convention or event from confines of the booth in artist alley. You don’t get to see the panels, or contests, or have the hours to wait in lines for autographs or pictures. And that sometimes sucks. But not all the time. Talking and interacting with my fellow artist alley vendors keeps my spirits high and I had some great neighbors at SpaceCon. We laughed together, we saw Ewan together, and we endured together. Man that place got hot didn’t it?
